Extra Hold Tapes for Extensions

Our Extra Hold Extension Tape is designed to fit most tape hair extensions, with a standard industry size of 4cm x .8cm. It is recommended for thicker hair types that require a stronger and longer hold, lasting 7+ weeks with proper installation and care. The tape holds available are Regular Hold for 5+ weeks (Thin Fine Hair) and Extra Hold for 7+ weeks (Thicker Hair). Big Kizzy Removers are required for proper removal.

Included in the package is a Tape Hair Extensions 101 Guide Book, which contains application/reapplication instructions, tips on how to style and care for tape hair extensions, removal tips, and a troubleshooting guide.

Why Are My Tapes Slipping?

If your tapes are slipping, it may be due to having too much hair in between the "tape sandwich," which prevents the panels from properly sticking to each other. Using a professional sealing tool like the Blueberry can help eliminate air bubbles and ensure that the tape panels are properly "sandwiched" around your hair. It is essential to shampoo your hair and tape extensions before applying, as oil can cause the tapes to slip or fall out.

For best results, the Extra Hold Tape should be slightly heated with a flat iron before applying your tape extensions. Additionally, avoid getting your hair wet for 48 hours after application, dry your roots immediately after showering, and press the sandwich together regularly to keep it sealed.

If tapes are self-applied and do not align perfectly, slipping and reduced wearing time may occur. Ensure that old tape is properly removed, and avoid leaving sticky, oily residue behind.
